In support of the commercialization of inventions, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. 1 (DOST-1) will introduce assistance programs for Region 1 inventors, researchers, and Technology Business Incubators (TBI) clients.
The orientation will be conducted on April 27, 2021 at 1 PM via Zoom. It will highlight the benefits of the following programs: (1) Invention-Based Enterprise Development Program-Component II (IBED-II) that provides financial assistance for inventors with at least filed/active patent for the production cost (production equipment and/or raw materials) of the additional requirement of the market in order to satisfy the unmet demand; and (2) Landbank-TAPI Innovation and Technology (I-Tech) Lending Program which supports the commercial production of patented Filipino inventions with active intellectual property (IP) rights by providing loan assistance at lower interest rates in partnership with the Landbank of the Philippines. The coverage of assistance includes acquisition of fixed assets, capital expenditures, production capital, and working capital.
These programs of assistance are part of the government’s efforts and commitment to help inventors commercialize their inventions.
Interested inventors, researchers, and TIB clients in the region can register through this link: bit.ly/IBEDITECH_registration until April 20, 2021 only.
