In hopes of lending a hand to our beloved lolos and lolas who suffer from poor vision, the Department of Science and Technology - Scholars’ Intercampus Association of Pangasinan (DOST - SICAP) led by Mr. Mark Glendale T. Valenzuela, President of Pangasinan II, and Mr. Francis Ryan A. Ramos, President of Pangasinan I, initiated the preliminary actions needed to fully implement the Project YACAP (Youth Advocacy in Caring the Aged and PWDs). This is a region-wide project, made possible with the coordination and collaboration of DOST - Science Education Institute (SEI) and Patriot Scholars of Region I. The project aims to provide corrective eyeglasses and grocery items to the selected senior citizens in Pangasinan.

An initial action of eye check-up of the first five (5) beneficiaries was conducted on May 3, 2021 at Muñoz Optical Clinic, located at Bayambang, Pangasinan.
