DOST 1 facilitates learning visit to Bamboo Textile Fiber Innovation Hub

The Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST 1) through the Provincial Science and Technology Office - La Union (PSTO-LU) facilitated the learning visit of the Region 1 Bamboo Industry Development Council (BIDC) to the Bamboo Textile Fiber Innovation Hub (BTFIH) on May 23, 2023, at Brgy. Casilagan, Naguilian, La Union. The visit was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Region 1 (DTI R1) as the lead agency of the visit.

Many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were inevitably affected particularly displaced, by the coronavirus lockdowns all over the globe. In response, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) initiated its banner program for OFWs, the Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) Program.
